Raku Vase #1

This Gorgeous Raku Vase Was done at a community Firing with friends and good vibes. The iridescent glaze catches the light really nicely.

Raku is the process of taking pottery out of the kiln while its still glowing red hot and then putting it in a oxygen reduction environment full of leaves and natural materials. The leaves burn up creating smoke which adds color to the piece and further reduces the oxygen helping the Glaze to mature properly

(Raku Pieces are not water tight and primarily used for dry flowers or display.)
